Emotional Intelligence (EI) encompasses a set of skills that help us develop relationships and interactions with ourselves and others; becoming more aware of emotional information and using this in an effective way. A number of studies have shown that EI plays a greater role in job success than IQ does. This is especially true as you become more successful and become a leader. And the good news, these are skills that can be nurtured, learned and developed. With a more developed EI skill set, you can become more aware of how you’re being and showing up. This can help in other areas such as: developing and cultivated better relationships, improved decision making, managing stress and building resilience.
I’m certified in two of the main EI assessments available on the marketplace. Both of these assessments have been rigorously researched and validated. And both feature an individual self-assessment version or 180/360 versions. I offer the assessment either as a standalone offering or part of a wider coaching package.
In the standalone offering, you’ll undertake the assessment and once the results are in, you’ll receive a one-to-one debrief that can last up to 2 hours. During this debrief, you’ll be walked through the results and start to identify the key areas and actions that are appropriate for you to develop.
When used as part of a wider coaching package, the EI assessment can be undertaken at the start of the coaching engagement and then, following the 2 hour debrief, you’ll be further supported on your development journey using a number of personal coaching sessions.
